Porcelain Veneers

One solution for cosmetically improving chipped, stained, or crooked teeth is Porcelain Veneers. Veneers are made from a translucent ceramic material, which is applied to the front of the teeth or tooth. This material has virtually the same physical characteristics as a real tooth. This means that when this procedure is performed you will be left with a beautiful, natural looking smile. The complete procedure requires approximately three visits to the dental office.

    Dental Bleaching

Bleaching simply removes stains from the enamel of your teeth. The level of whiteness that can be achieved by teeth bleaching will depend on the level of discoloration of the teeth and how they came to be stained. Teeth that are brown or yellow due to coffee, tea, or smoking stains will generally lighten four to five shades. Teeth that are gray due to natural pigmentation will lighten two to three shades. Regardless, your teeth will be noticeably whiter after bleaching.
There are two main professional teeth whitening techniques: in-office Zoom! teeth whitening and at-home application of tooth whitening gel provided by a cosmetic dentist.

      Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to replace missing teeth. Implant dentistry involves embedding a screw or post into the jawbone, which will serve as the base for a prosthetic tooth. This requires a surgical procedure. The entire duration of the dental implant process can take between three to six months depending on the location of the implants.

Dentures

Dentures replace missing teeth and their adjacent tissues with a removable dental appliance made of acrylic resin and, in some cases, a combination of metals. Dentures can be removed at night, for cleaning, or whenever desired. The prosthetic teeth are usually made from either plastic or porcelain materials, with traditional plastic being the more affordable dentures. Porcelain cosmetic dentures may be more affordable than other cosmetic dentistry options, like dental implants.

  • Types of Dentures
There are several types of dentures available:

Full dentures - these dentures are for those individuals who have lost all of their natural teeth in the upper or lower jaw, or both.

    • Conventional dentures - these complete dentures are used once the bones and gums are healed.
    • Immediate dentures - can be inserted immediately after any teeth have been removed.
    • Cosmetic dentures - are created with greater personalization and craftsmanship, which means cosmetic dentures generally look and work better.

Partial dentures - Partial dentures act as dental bridges as they "bridge" the gap between a missing tooth or teeth.

Direct restorations are created inside the mouth, while indirect restorations are created outside of the mouth and require preparation in a laboratory.

Restorations with attachments to different kinds of dental prosthetics

      Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is necessary when a cavity or tooth decay has reached the nerve of the tooth. X-rays are a common method to find out how close the damage is to the nerve inside the tooth. When the damage is close to the nerve, the possibilities of restoration of the tooth are eliminated. When the cavity or decay has advanced this far, patient usually endures moderate to extreme pain. A root canal procedure will eliminate the pain and remove any infected tissue. If tooth infection is allowed to continue untreated, the patient may lose the tooth completely, necessitating a dental implant or bridge.
